Why I sold 50% of Simply Solventless for a starter stake here:
A Wolf first - Mystery FINS Review
For the record, I don’t plan on doing a lot of these mystery reviews, but after announcing exiting 50% of my stake in HASH yesterday, the speculation made it too much fun to do otherwise.
I’m not going to relitigate my disappointment with 2025 Wolf Pick - Simply Solventless, but as I mentioned in that review I was planning an exit strategy and this was the first step.
HASH was beaten to a pulp after releasing their 2024 annuals, which also came after an MTCO as they were late filing. Over the next couple of trading sessions the stock dropped as much as 62% and 80% from their highs in late January.
Had I sold immediately I would have taken a bath on my large position. Once the dust settled I decided to take a bit of a leap and add to my holdings at 18 cents significantly lowering my average. So when the opportunity came to sell some if it off (even for a small L) I jumped at the chance.
What is my plan with my remaining HASH shares? I’m not sure yet but here is what I built a starter position in yesterday…
